- Who
- The outgoing member, the incoming owner and the society committee.
- Cost
- The online transfer process on COOPMAN is free. Your society may charge a transfer fee as its bye-laws allow, and stamp duty or registration charges apply to the sale document where the law requires them. These are not COOPMAN charges.
Agree the sale
If you sell through COOPMAN, list the flat; a buyer’s enquiry you accept becomes a deal that both sides can track. You can also start from a sale agreed outside the platform.
My listingsApply for the society NOC
In NOC Studio choose “Sale / transfer”. The incoming owner can also apply during the deal — for example when the bank needs the NOC for a loan.
NOC StudioThe committee decides
The society checks dues, documents and its bye-laws, then approves or refuses with reasons. An approved NOC is issued as a real document you can print or save as PDF.
Three approvals complete the transfer
The outgoing member surrenders the membership, the society approves the transfer and the platform gives final approval. Only then does the incoming person become the Owner Member.
TransfersRegister and certificates updated
The member register and share-certificate records move to the new member; the history of the old membership is kept.
This guide describes how COOPMAN works and gives a general outline only. It is not legal advice; your society’s bye-laws and current law apply.
